At Year Up United, we've been partnering with Resume Scripter for the past three years to address a critical challenge: helping our participants translate their real-world experiences into language that resonates with both hiring managers and the AI systems conducting initial screenings.

Before Resume Scripter, we'd sometimes see resume bullets like 'worked the register at the store' or 'helped customers.' These descriptions missed the mark and read like task lists rather than accomplishments. Resume Scripter's AI enhancements help our participants recognize and articulate the actual impact they're making. 

We're particularly excited about Resume Scripter's new interview preparation tool. As someone who's coached job seekers for years, I sometimes hear phrases like: 'I was only in charge of a small team,' 'I only have 9 college credits,' or 'I kind of taught myself.' The word 'only' appears in almost every conversation.

These statements reveal incredible accomplishments—leading any team requires real management skills, earning college credits while working shows exceptional time management, and self-teaching demonstrates initiative and problem-solving abilities. Resume Scripter has helped participants reframe these experiences authentically.

This transformation isn't about creating artificial confidence, it's about helping talented individuals recognize the value they already bring to employers.

Workforce Professionals Training Institute (WPTI) partnered with Andrea Gerson on a virtual workshop, Career Coaching for Underserved Communities, for frontline practitioners from 12 workforce organizations located across the Northeast.

This was one of our most highly attended training sessions in the series. In our feedback survey, 100% of attendees Strongly Agreed or Agreed that they had gained new knowledge, tools, and skills they planned to use in their work. Since then, we have received unprompted glowing reviews about Andrea’s engaging training style and ability to present complex or amorphous concepts in a way that can be applied by staff who assist various job seekers.

Throughout the span of one year, our organization worked closely with Andrea from Resume Scripter to create an extensive training program consisting of over 40 modules.

Andrea facilitated a 3-day Virtual Career Academy for the National Association of Workforce Development Professionals (NAWDP).
